    CSC

(Public Company; CSC; Information Technology and Services industry)

    September 2008Present (11 months)

Shayne is the leader of CSC's Global Business Services division within SA, he provides the team of Consulting, Program & Project Management and Systems Integration services for BHP Billiton Uranium Australia client.

Shayne has most recently been working with the BHP Billiton Uranium Australia Information Management leadership and CSC account teams.

Shayne was responsible in architecting, establishing and leading for CSC, the entire programme of work for both the Uranium Australia CSG’s transformation to the new CSC Services contract (approx $60 M AUD over 5 years) plus the definition and design aspect of the “Project Rattle” programme which entails assurance of operational readiness for a series of Enterprise provided services and standards that are mandated to all of BHP Billiton.

BHP Billiton Uranium is currently undertaking a two year prefeasibility study into the expansion of Olympic Dam in South Australia, which includes the examination of a broad range of alternatives. Located 560 kilometres north of Adelaide, South Australia, Olympic Dam is a multi-mineral ore body. It is the world's fourth largest remaining copper deposit, fifth largest gold deposit and the largest uranium deposit. It also contains significant quantities of silver. Olympic Dam is Australia's largest underground mine. Most of Olympic Dam's employees live in Roxby Downs township, about 16 km south of the operations.

It is likely to see the advent of open pit operations in addition to the existing underground mine, and will become one of the largest of its type in the world. CSC has provided application and infrastructure support to BHP since 2000.

The proposed expansion would be a progressive development, requiring construction activity over a period of 11 years. The project schedule ultimately will depend on the timing and nature of government approvals and the final investment decision of the BHP Billiton Board.
