Scott Welker’s Summary

20 years doing what I love, creating systems that make a difference for those who use them. Mr. Booch said it best "..life is too short to waste precious time building bad software that nobody wants, needs, or will ever use".

I am a life-long learner with a passion for technology and a drive to succeed – or at least a fear of failure :-) I have had the wonderful pleasure of growing up with the industry, from my early start with a home-built Z80 based kit computer programming in BASIC and Z80 Assembly through COBOL/ISAM/VSAM and ESQL/COBOL to Dbase and Pascal with Btrieve record manager, then on to Paradox/Opal, Delphi/OOP with SQL Server and Oracle in early 2-Tier architectures and onto high-availability, fault-tolerant N-Tier systems. What an amazing journey. Now, Web and WebServices N-Tier using C#/.Net and ASP.Net. So much more to do and to learn. Can't imagine doing anything else :-)

Scott Welker’s Specialties:

Software Development Life Cycle, Integration Specialist, Systems Architecture and, of course programming (C# and ASP.Net currently).
