One of the hazards of being a design journalist is constantly living in house envy, but the opportunity I have to write about beautiful environments, architecture and art feeds me like no other profession could. Though I am known as a journalist who specializes in design, I am also a serious writer and I hope to continue to develop that facet of my writing life in the years to come. I am currently working on a memoir about my experiences in the mission field and I am developing several web sites to showcase my serious writing. I also love to write plays, and though I've had two produced (and am working on my third play at the moment), I feel that I am a fledgling here and would love to develop my playwright's voice more completely. I guess you've figured out by now that I'm in love with writing--whatever form it takes in my life! I hope to write more columns and syndicated writing pieces in the coming years as I love the opportunity to explore a deeper voice than random features allow.
