I have been providing direct services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence for over two years. Since the start of my career at the YWCA of Greater Flint I knew that I was committed to the work I was doing. I have since moved up two positions and now coordinate the legal advocates and the on-call response team. I have learned so much about myself and my capabilities, that I know I can accomplish anything.
My goal is to obtain a Master's in Public Policy. I have a commitment to this movement and to advocate for more effective policies. I understand the need to collaborate with my peers from all sectors and be a part of a community of talented individuals with the goal of empowering change at local, state, and national levels on the importance of social justice.
