Background

Summary

I am currently working as a Product Designer in the iPad division of Apple in their headquarters in Cupertino, CA.

Recently, I have completed my postgraduate masters in Industrial Systems, Manufacture and Management at the University of Cambridge where I gained a distinction. This course was highly practical where knowledge and experience of manufacturing, business and new product development was gained. My undergraduate at Glasgow University and Glasgow Art School enabled me to build a solid base of engineering and design knowledge, skills and experience on which to base my career.

I have a wide range of interests that translate through to my career goals and ambitions where I wish to work in a variety of types of organizations in industries ranging consumer electronics to automotive and in both companies large and small. My work experience so far reflects this diversity.

In the medium to long term I wish to rise within an organisation within which I work and make a large contribution to the company and help it to develop further. Otherwise, I wish to develop my own organisation and make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of others, where I may work to commercialize several of my award winning products I developed whilst at University.

I want to continue in my professional development by continuing to attend professional education seminars and courses and play a visible role in the development of my profession as a whole. As part of this, I wish to develop a network of like minded individuals to share ideas and opportunities with, so please, network with me!
