Samantha Thodhlana's Experience

Editor in chief/Founder

Bonafide supernova

February 2011Present (3 years 9 months)

Bonafide Supernova is an online platform providing content for female, trendsetting future fashionista's and futurista's between 18-35 years, in fashion, entertainment, enterprise, arts & culture.

Marketing and Sales Manager (short term contract)

Brance Pvt Ltd

February 2013May 2013 (4 months) Harare, Zimbabwe

At Brance, I was appointed as the Marketing and Sales Manager. On a daily basis, I dealt with the overall marketing, advertising and PR strategies and planning for the organisation. I was also the main point of contact for all marketing enquires for Brance. During my time there, I devised a clear, financially lucrative and cost effective marketing strategy proposal which is currently being implemented by the entire Brance team even after my departure.

My role also involved dealing with high powered professionals, company directors and CEO’s. Most of the company’s business comes from commercial clientele who require construction and renovation work conducted on their buildings. Therefore, I had to provide a clear message about what the Brance brand represents and sell the exclusive elegance element of the brand to our current and prospective clients. Other tasks I assisted with were; pitching to board/committee members at Zimpapers and NSSA, creating quotations worth thousands of dollars for major clients, creating information booklets for clients and staff members, dealing and managing with the development & construction of the Brance website.

I had full access to the control panel of this site and the ability to maintain the site if requested, making international travel arrangements, devising and assisting with the design of the Brance adverts and all promotional material, dealing with project management issues such as; attending the construction site for Nicoz Diamond, taking photographs of past and present projects, supporting with the interior design of clients homes or office spaces, liaising with international suppliers from across Europe sourcing materials and design concepts for clients and the renovation of the Brance showroom, plus I dealt with the marketing and advertising budgets for my department.
