Chief Strategy Officer-International Programs for Kissito Healthcare International. Focus is on buidling developmental recognition and funding from private sources, governmental entities and other NGOs. Our primary work is in East Africa.
CHANGE
In the book Good To Great, Collins finds that the Great companies were filled with management who frequently engaged in heated debate. Most institutions are plagued with groupthink for two major reasons:
1. People tend not to want to be the one who rocks the boat for fear of retribution and,
2. Challenging to bring about change can be hard and requires “extra” work—work that many are not willing to do without an extra benefit.
Change is inevitable. Will the change define you, or will you dictate the change to achieve your milestone?

• Managed all Financial functions of Kissito including Accounts Receivable ($52 MM in revenues), Accounts Payable ($25 MM), Financial Statement review and preparation, daily Cash Flow management.
=>Navigated firm through multiple large asset transactions
=>Restructured debt to optimize cash flow in a challenging environment
=>Minimized Days Of Revenue Outstanding (DRO/DSO) to bring within industry norms
=>Successfully renegotiated contracts to save Kissito millions of dollars annually
• Managed Human Resource department (800 employees) including hiring, training, and retention processes. This would include all aspects of Organizational Development including working to develop processes and hiring techniques which produce strategic alignment between Kissito and employees.
=>Reduced Turnover by over 20% saving the firm hundreds of thousands of dollars annually
=>Implemented the Kissito 360 program which improved benefits with lower costs, increased and improved company-wide communication, and helped to reduce turnover
=>Successfully negotiated all aspects of firm's benefit program on behalf of over 800 employees
=>Streamlined the onboarding process to improve talent, helping to reduce turnover
• Oversaw Information Technology including the integration of Electronic Medical Records.
• Oversaw Policy, Research, and New Business Development including the development of a new P.A.C.E. (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) in the Roanoke Valley.

• Designed a small franchise, offering a unique fusion of two industries with different peak seasons into one.
• With several locations, this innovative approach allows for seasonal peaks and valleys of both industries to compliment each other to stabilize monthly cash flow and increase profit potential.
• All locations were cash positive and profitable by the end of the first quarter.

2007 – 2008 (1 year) Roanoke, Virginia Area
• Captured 115,000 votes--the most ever by a Democratic Congressional Candidate--with an intensive 22 month campaign that produced the largest grass-roots operation Western Virginia had ever seen in a congressional campaign against an 8-term incumbent, unchallenged in 10 yrs.
• Raised $400,000 from only individual donations--invested into a massive field campaign and effective media buys.
• Effectively conveyed a positive message, emphasizing the importance of a single-payer healthcare, the need for a national energy revolution, and the urgency of systemic governmental reforms while building bi-partisan coalitions.

• Managed a North American based subsidiary for a German Medical Manufacturing firm, expanded the North American market and maximized facilitation of existing N.A. clients.
