As Product Strategist, I develop and work on methodologies based on innovation and research to understand and project business and market trends into product strategies, setting and recommending product directions. I work closely with strategic partners and customers to identify, align and validate growth opportunities as well as mid- and long-term business and technical needs.
I provide strategic leadership on the Progress OpenEdge platform, products and offerings at large, including SaaS. I have responsibility for the strategic oversight of the entire OpenEdge product line and offerings, with focus on mid-, long-term strategic direction. In addition I provide consultancy to product and release stakeholders on complex issues. Stakeholders include corporate development & strategy, as well as the technology and product architecture, product management, and product marketing groups.

In my role as Consultant Product Manager at Progress Software - OpenEdge I was responsible for bringing products in the OpenEdge product-line to market, gathering customer and market requirements, setting the overall product strategy and coordinating with all functional groups to insure the success of the releases. My areas of responsibility include OpenEdge ABL, user interfaces (GUI, .NET, Java, HTML-XML, ChUI), OpenEdge runtime (ABL Virtual Machine), client products, internationalization, overall packaging, Pricing & LIcensing as well as the OpenEdge business platform as a whole.
Prior to my current position I worked in Product Management since 1998, first as the Migration Product Manager, then as Language and Development Tools Product Manager.

As Technical Services Manager, I was responsible of Technical Services for the EMEA Southern Region (including France, Spain, Italy, etc) and the EMEA Distributors over 30 countries (including South Africa, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Israel, etc.).
In addition to my primary resposibilities for the countries in my region I had extensive engagements with customers in the UK and Escandinavia as well.
As a member of the EMEA Technical Services Centre Management Team, I handled the day to day running of the support centre, reporting to the Director. I had direct responsibility for 8 staff.
