Rusty McGuire is a fifth generation Hanover resident who is running for the Republican nomination in the 55th House of Delegates District. As a former Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney in Louisa County, Rusty is renowned as one of the foremost experts on technology crimes and protecting children online in the Commonwealth of Virginia. His record as a prosecutor, VMI graduate and Army Reserve officer clearly shows that Rusty knows firsthand the necessity of service to our Commonwealth and nation. In fact, Rusty would be the first veteran of the Iraq War elected to Virginia’s General Assembly. His 20+ years of military and prosecutorial experience provide him with the tools to continue retiring Delegate Frank Hargrove Sr.’s legacy of leadership for Hanover County.
