During my stint at Dmax & Associates Ltd., I had full lifecycle accountability of various technical and digital marketing projects servicing a client-base inclusive of local (Malta) and international clients (Europe & Africa), spanning across a diverse range of industries; financial services, automotive, furniture and healthcare.

Over two years I have successfully managed to develop a diverse skill-set with key responsibilities covering; web development, email marketing, social media marketing and search engine optimisation, along with outstanding client-support.

Directly reporting to the Managing Director, I was held in charge of all social media marketing client accounts; from client meetings and research to creating updates, campaigns (development of Facebook custom pages, forms for gathering relevant contacts, offers and competitions), monitoring, analysis, writing statistical reports and delivering successful results.

Being a technology enthusiast, always eager towards working closer with the most innovative, fresh and fast track tech-media, I ensured to keep up to date with the industry and technology changes. I have also trained and mentored new staff to continue pursuing their career in the digital marketing industry.

Online-shop Manager

J. Piccinino Ltd

As an Online-shop Manager I was primarily responsible to manage one of J. Piccinino’s big projects, with a core function to manage the e-commerce website and to control the stock of the entire chain of shop-outlets, amounting to thirteen stores around Malta & Gozo.

During these two years I managed J. Piccinino’s online shop using Magento CMS, which included the management of category pages, product pages, descriptions, discount codes, promotional offers and processing orders. I designed several adverts for web and even for print, including designs for billboards, leaflets, posters, magazines and newspaper adverts. I also worked on various online marketing strategies, search engine optimisation and social media marketing activities.

Being one of my first opportunities to get some hands on experience, this was not an easy job. I attended various short courses to expand my skill-set and was continuously learning by myself, increasingly becoming a firm believer of entrepreneurship.

This life-enhancing experience has changed the way I think about work, the industry and business. Besides from getting a lot of technical experience I also learned how a business functions and that the best way of learning is by doing.
