Blogger News Network (www.bloggernews.net) is a citizen journalist news site, where ordinary people write news, analysis and opinion on the events and issues of the day. I founded the site in 2002 to provide an outlet for this exciting new form of journalism.

I spent most of the 1990s working in the software industry. I started at Microsoft as a software design engineer, analyzing and testing the DB-Library component of SQL Server 6.0. From there I moved to the consumer division, where I served in a variety of roles on entertainment and educational titles for both Microsoft and for Dreamworks SKG. I also worked as a contractor for Microsoft on a variety of short-term projects, before moving to Colorado in 1999 and taking jobs at Optika and Quark. These jobs gave me an extensive background in software development and I have a solid understanding of the development process, from both the technical and managerial viewpoints.
BS , Business Administration , 2001 — 2004
After many years in the technical field, I decided to return to college and complete my degree. Business Administration was the logical choice, as I realized my future career path would be entrepreneurial and self-directed, rather than climbing an existing corporate ladder.
n/a , computer science, history, economics , 1988 — 1990
I attended Oberlin College for two years before realizing that I was not personally mature enough to complete the college experience. Instead, I sought employment in the tech field where I could use my talents in a profitable way and be more connected to the innovation and excitement of the computer industry.
