Retired after teaching for 50 years in natural resource topics, I now work on implementing an important concept found in "Rural System? Just Dreaming" (at http://www.RuralSystem.com). I write a blog "Faunal Force" (at http://www.FaunalForce.typepad.com/faunalforce ) on one major aspect of that potential for-profit system. I also write another blog, "The Survivalists" (at
http://www.faunalforce.typepad.com/survivalists ).

I taught wildlife management and general systems ecology for 38 years at Va Tech, Blacksburg, and before that, wildlife management at the University of Idaho. I did PhD work on pesticide impacts on forested areas and (with grad students) environmental impact studies on powerlines, mining, and general aviation airports. I now develop a web site and attempt to get the company Rural System (at www.RuralSystem.com) started. The blogs "Faunal Force" and "The Survivalists" are underway.
