  • Rethinking Intelligence — Seven False Premises Blocking Intelligence Reform

    • Reality Sandwich
    • January 7, 2014

The NSA debacle is being treated with theatric gestures about intelligence reform. In fact intelligence reform must address the totality of the secret world and for the first time embrace the reality that 95% of what we need to know is never, ever, going to be harvested by the secret world. There are seven false premises that continue to block intelligence reform and continue to allow the secret world to be a totalitarian out of control cancer against our democratic society.

Organized collection of recent articles, briefing, chapters, and white papers, as well as graphic, representing my latest thinking on the evolving craft of intelligence and the emerging function of hybrid public governance enabled by open source decision support. Continuing a focus on NATO and the UN as *information-sharing* networks, and on all forms of non-military communications as "Alternative C2" toward the end of combining humnaitarian technologies and crowd-sourcing to harmonize investments, prevent conflict, and create a prosperous world at peace.

  • INTELLIGENCE WITH INTEGRITY: Enabling Hybrid Public Governance with Open-Source Decision-Support

    • Earth Intelligence Net
    • May 3, 2013
Authors: Robert David Steele Vivas, Michael Kearns

The book is being funded by donors one chapter at a time, first five chapters are up in very rough form (generally do 15 drafts). It is the first book to integrate whole systems analytics, true cost economics, strategy, policy, acquisition, and operations, and intelligence with integrity. It is also the first book designed to meet the needs of the "eight tribes" for information sharing and sense-making, i.e. public intelligence in the public interest. Finally it is the first book to integrate Open Source Everything (OSE) as the technical solution, and M4IS2 (Multinational, Multiagency, Multidisciplinary Multidomain Information-Sharing and Sense-Making) as the political solution.
