I am an advisor and legal counsel to Curriki, which is a nonprofit organization that is building the first and only Internet site for Open Source Curriculum (OSC), which will provide universal access to free curricula and instructional materials for grades K-12. Curriki is focusing initially on developing an online repository for K-12 curricula in the areas of mathematics, science, technology, reading and language arts, and languages. Curriki was founded by Scott McNealy, Chairman of Sun Microsystems.

We advise a broad range of clients from mature public companies to early stage startup companies. Our objective is to provide companies with services typically provided by a general counsel in a cost-effective and responsive manner.
Our general counsel services concentrate on general corporate counseling, technology licensing transactions, venture financings, mergers & acquisitions, employment counseling, intellectual property protection, business formation and management of other outside counsel.
Our partners have previously served as general counsel, or provided general counsel services, to a wide variety of emerging growth companies.

The MIT/Stanford Venture Laboratory (VLAB) is the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum, a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the growth and success of high-tech entrepreneurial ventures by connecting ideas, technology and people. My position as Advisors Chair is to maintain a strong Board of Advisors. The VLAB Board of Advisors are recognized leaders, known for their business success and their ability to strategically analyze the issues facing emerging ventures. VLAB advisors help to identify emerging business and technology trends, which form the basis of VLAB programming. Our advisors also assist in identifying and securing panelists, moderators, sponsors and presenting companies for our ongoing forums.
