1976 First experience with computers
1977 Actively working with computers
1982 First teaching classes, teaching students and teachers.
1988 Encountered first virus at the Technical University of Delft (Jerusalem.1808.B.A-204). No defence available and thus made my own solution.
1988 – 1991 Freelance consultancy in the field of computer virus defence and
making active solutions.
1989 – 1991 Co-founded and member of the Virus Strategy Group in the
Netherlands, a cooperative between government, agencies and the
industry.
1991 Became a member of CARO (Computer Anti Virus Research
Organization).
1991 – 1995 Co-founded CSE Ltd (Computer Security Engineers), taking the role of
Research & Development Manager.
1995 – 1998 Working in the Research & Development department of ESaSS,
continuing the development of ThunderBYTE Antivirus Utilities.
1998 – Now Working in the Research & Development department of Norman.
2000 Co-founded AVED, Board Member of AVED (AntiVirus Emergency
Distribution Network, http://www.aved.net)
2003 Technical Overview Board Member of the Wildlist
2005 Technical Board Member of the new CME Project (Common Malware
