With over 10 years of content strategy experience in the Web and interactive space, and 25 years of writing experience, I’ve developed excellent skills, wide-ranging industry contacts, and successfully navigated a lifetime of content development issues.
Credentials:
• Hands-on experience developing content strategies and content for small-business and dot-com clients
• Content strategy consulting to high-profile, Fortune 50 clients including presentations to VP and C-level management
• Strong Web Content Management System knowledge covering design, implementation, work flow, and team management from a content developer’s view
• Organic SEO content development that delivers content that gracefully delivers the marketing message AND is search -engine-friendly
• Success in planning, scheduling, implementing, and managing content resources for 14 cross-enterprise projects
• Authored “The Web Content Strategist’s Bible”
• MA in Professional Writing
• Years of small team experience that has made me very comfortable serving as the middle man. I’m equally comfortable with the “marketeers” discussing USP, ROMI, CPM, and CRM as I am with the techies talking about CSS, AJAX, FLEX, PHP, DNS, and ASP
I'm a self motivated team member who knows how to locate and fully engage a wide range of resources in order to create the right business messages for products and solutions. I have an excellent reputation and track record not only at UPS, but also at IBM, Sterling Software, KnowledgeWare and host of happy clients.
I thrive as part of small, focused teams and work well under deadline pressure. I appreciate the quirks and habits of brilliant people doing amazing work and bring humor and calmness to an often tense work environment.
I've traveled to work for clients throughout the United States and Europe. I have a long list of Web content development contacts as well as deep connections into the Information Architecture community.
