Rich DeLong’s Summary

For 23 years I've skulked the halls of advertising agencies, art studios, interactive shops, and client boardrooms alike-to the extent some associates would categorize my job as a sort of über-consultant. Having had my fingers deep in the stickiness of Brand Design, Integrated Marketing, and Interactive Design, I bring a unique perspective when conceiving user experiences through any and every designtelic service.

Brand Design
A graphic designer by background, I received a degree in Graphic Design with an emphasis in Illustration from Iowa State University and began my career developing corporate identities from the visual side. Over the years I've contributed to illustration, logo design and creative development to the likes of Intel, Nortel, and industries stretching from health care to fashion retailing.

Integrated Marketing
A stint at one of the country's leading high-tech ad agencies solidified my strategic understanding of marketing communications. I worked closely with agency teams responsible for print and broadcast campaigns while I developed corresponding internet support. Experience in cross-media projects for Intel, Iomega, Gateway, Conservation International, Netscape, and other clients allows me to bring 360° vision to designtelic clients' integrated pursuits.

Interactive Design
In 1997, two partners and I launched Sumus Interactive, an agency specializing in interactive marketing. As Creative Director, I steered digital development for brands such as Nortel Networks, Iomega - Europe, Visto, and Campus Pipeline. Today, I continue these pursuits through designtelic, providing balanced work for clients like The Markers Club, Giovanni Experiences, Velosum, Spillman Technologies and Transparient.
