Owner and Founder at Scorpio Music
Sydney Area, Australia
My latest project, www.posse.com, launched in Australia on Monday 27th April, with the support of MySpace and Ticketmaster and MTV. Posse.com will launch in the UK and US in July 2009.
A Politics and Maori Language graduate, music industry entrepreneur and social justice advocate, I founded Scorpio Music in 2004 and www.posse.com in 2009.
I am passionate about finding and developing up-and-coming artists, as well as managing their relationship with the marketplace and the media. The first act I signed was george, followed closely by Evermore, Operator Please and Lisa Mitchell, among others.
I have been instrumental in the creation and implementation of large-scale fundraising events such as the Levi’s Life Festival to raise awareness about youth suicide and Make Poverty History concert in 2006, and I am a mentor to The Oaktree Foundation, Australia’s largest youth run aid and development organisation.
