Carried out theoretical and experimental (Raman spectroscopy) studies of the vibrational properties of core-shell semiconductor nanowires for exploring their potential in optoelectronics and micro-electronics.
Strain characterization of the SiGe nanowire heterostructures using micro / macro Raman spectroscopy.
Developed elastic continuum models of the strain and compared it with realistic computer simulations created by ABAQUS to analyze the strain effects in novel III-V and Group-IV core-shell nanowire.
Successfully computed the Raman spectra of nanowire and analyzed the Raman selection rules due to the nanowire geometry and the scattering configuration.
