Pawel Zeranski’s Summary
I specialize in intellectual property law, especially copyright law. Furthermore, my experience covers contract law and commercial law. I am well qualified to offer legal expertise within the following business branches:
• media and advertising,
• IT
• production and distribution of works of art, i.e. movies, books etc.
I know fluently English and German. Apart from this my father tought me French, therefore I know also (intermediate) this language.
However, I am not only a professional. I am also active at Warsaw University and I have just finished my final project of the PhD regarding copyright contracts.
In my opinion the professional and academic life support each other: science teaches logical thinking, clear expression of views, requires fluent knowledge of a few languages. I am proud that I had the possibility to learn these skills from the best, such as prof. Marek Safjan from Poland or prof. Wilhelm Nordemann from Germany. These skills necessary in academic career are equally useful for a modern lawyer in his daily work. To perform it in the best possible way it might furthermore be helpful to use the skills acquired during sociological studies, such as statistics (or at least courage to understand and merge numbers and accounts with legal knowledge) or eloquence in writing.
During my work I would like to deal with – as before – difficult and complex affairs. I would like to be more and more independent.
I am an attorney at law trainee (III year).
