Paul Brooks is an innovator, advisor, entrepreneur and investor who was responsible for a wide variety of successful projects and initiatives during his 22 year career in the NASCAR industry.

As President of NASCAR Media Group and Senior Vice President of NASCAR, Brooks was on the initial team that developed NASCAR’s long-term consolidated television and new media agreements with FOX, FX, NBC, Turner and NASCAR TV on SPEED, and later, agreements with ABC/ESPN. 

Brooks developed and launched NASCAR Online ( and NASCAR Radio on XM and Sirius Satellite Radio. Served on negotiating team that brought Sprint-Nextel into the sport as title sponsor of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. He also led all international business initiatives for NASCAR, including NASCAR exhibition events in Japan. 

All broadcasting, new media, licensing and consumer products, publishing, automotive and international departments reported to Brooks. NASCAR Plaza, NASCAR Media Group, the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the NASCAR Teams Licensing Trust (NASCAR Team Properties) all were developed and launched under Brooks' management of NASCAR's Charlotte, NC office.

Brooks established NASCAR’s Los Angeles office in 2000 and served as executive producer of NASCAR: Drivers 360 on FX and executive producer for the Emmy Award-winning NASCAR IN CAR on iN DEMAND, television’s first enhanced multi-channel digital sports package. Brooks created “NASCAR 3D: The IMAX Experience” that debuted in March 2004 and became one of the most successful film documentaries in IMAX history.

Three-time honoree in the Sports Business Journal “Forty Under 40” and entered the Sports Business Journal “Forty Under 40 Hall of Fame” in 2005. Brooks remains an outside advisor to NASCAR, serves on the National Motorsports Appeals Panel and is one of twenty-one industry veterans on the nominating panel for the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
