I am a Registered Echo and Vascular Sonographer looking for a clinical setting possibly combined with mentoring and / or teaching responsibilities. Though I am a leader, I can also function quite successfully as a team member. I am highly organized and have authored two training guides. I am looking to locate in South Louisiana or South Mississippi. I spent seven years traveling and have experienced some of the most prestigious facilities on the East coast.
My Cardiac experience is in Echocardiograms, diagnostic and intra-op TEE's, Valve specific interrogation, Pre and Post TAVR interrogation, Ultrasound guided Pericardiocentesis, Thoracentesis, and Paracentesis, LVAD exams, Adult congenital exams, Transplant evaluations. My Vascular experience includes Upper and Lower extremity venous and arterial exams, Carotid artery exams, Dialysis graft evaluation, Vein mapping, Ultrasound guided thrombin injections and venous thrombectomies. I have functioned s a technical trainer, facilitated a more organized approach to inpatient care, served as acting director, trained students and new hires, Digital reporting systems, and EMR's. I also have some experience in pediatric echo.

An in-service guide for hospital personnel and nursing students. This guide introduces personnel and students as to how and why Echocardiograms and Vascular studies are performed. It briefly describes the anatomy and physiological function the patient's heart. It also describes the role of the vascular system, arterial vs venous, and the effects of each on the patient. It also explains how these exams play a role in he continuous care of the patient.
Originally designed and written for the use of the Cardiology fellows at Washington Hospital Center / Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. This is a basic "How To" guide that fits in a lab coat pocket. It gives the reader the transducer positions necessary to perform a Transthoracic Echocardiogram along with illustrations of the images at each position. It follows an echo protocol and describes how to acquire the measurements necessary in an Echocardiogram.
