RECS fosters and advances education, scientific research, professional training and career networks in the field of carbon capture and storage (CCS) systems. The 10-day tuition-free summer program combines classroom instruction, a geology field tour and visits to a power plant, coal mine and geologic carbon storage site. The 2009 program will be held July 19-29, in Albuquerque, NM for 25 early career professionals, PhD and graduate students with backgrounds in geology, chemistry, engineering and public policy. Applications are being accepted through May 15 on the RECS web site.
