I entered the Messaging Services Development Department in October 2005. During my first year in Telefónica, I lead the launch of the service Mensajería E-mail, a plugin aimed at the Enterprise segment which allows users to send SMS and MMS from MS Outlook and Outlook Express.
After this, I took part in the launch of various services, mainly enabling mobile messaging services to PC users (e.g. Mensajería Web, Corporate IP, Espacio Personal), as well as in some innovation projects.
In January 2008, I started representing Telefónica at the GSMA Rich Communication Suite (RCS) Initiative, an industry effort to accelerate the launch of converged, enriched communication services based on IMS. I have pushed for RCS to become a more end-user oriented service, proposing the creation of the User Experience Working Group, which I chaired. This group has later been evolved to the Service Description Group, which is responsible for the functional definition of RCS.
