<PreviousNext> is a consultancy I've established with tech guru and long time collaborator, Kim Pepper, to provide high-end user experience, design and development services. This enables me to still work with clients on design-specific projects, whilst leveraging Kim's vast expertise in Java, Ruby on Rails, Drupal and high volume website deployment, and a network of top-tier designers, Flash coders and developers where appropriate.
Clients already include the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Fremantle Media, SBS, EarthHour.org, National Rugby League, State Library of Victoria and a number of interesting start-ups and social-network sites.
As part of <PreviousNext>, we offer specialist Drupal services through http://www.Drupality.com.au.

September 2002 — June 2005 (2 years 10 months)
I led a team of Designers, Information Architects and Copywriters, and coordinated a pool of contractors, whilst representing this team on the business unit managers board. I led creative and user experience strategy for client projects and coordinated project strategy and resources with account service, project management and technical development teams. I formulated creative team training programs and developed and refined team processes and methodologies. I worked as a senior member of the new business strategy and pitch team and partook in high-level client liaison and consultation. I managed all external production and partnerships, such as printers, photographers and technology partners (e.g. Macromedia, Adobe).

October 1998 — August 2000 (1 year 11 months)
As a senior employee, my primary responsibility was for team development and management. In New York I had responsibility for the initiation of a Rich Media Team and played a principal role in pitching these capabilities to prospective clients. I then relocated to Silicon Valley in 1999 to be the lead on a project for InterActiveCorp and stayed behind to develop a local studio and team in San Francisco. In 2000 I returned to Sydney to develop the local offices client base and to enhance the working methodologies of the local team.

June 1996 — January 1998 (1 year 8 months)
Joining Spike as employee number four, the early days were very hands-on in all aspects of development. As more people were employed, my interest in emerging online multimedia technologies (Flash, Streaming Media etc.) had me building and leading a division within Spike, resulting in some major firsts for clients such as Toyota, 2UE, Lion Nathan and the Museum of Contemporary Art. In tandem with this role I also acted as a Senior Designer, producing site designs for clients as diverse as CSR, Greater Union and Amnesty International.
