With the drive and determination of an entrepreneur, Omar Joseph has quickly established himself as a burgeoning communications professional with a proven aptitude for leadership and results.
After earning a prestigious Lagrant Foundation internship with Tyco International, a $40 billion global company, Omar was recruited to coordinate communications for Tyco’s Plastics & Adhesives segment. There he managed the company’s newsletter and the launch of its first Intranet while developing messaging for the leadership team. His success in this role led to his appointment as the editor of Tyco International’s premier newsletter—a publication distributed to more than 180,000 employees with an annual budget of $1.3 million. Concurrently, Omar was assigned to numerous Corporate communication initiatives and projects where he continually demonstrated his commitment to success.
These accomplishments were largely driven by Omar’s years of experience as an entrepreneur. His past endeavors include founding a marketing company, developing a leading public-access television program, and managing urban marketing campaigns. For more than eight years, Omar has also proven himself as a gifted broadcast disc jockey. Moreover, he has unfailingly used his experience to inspire and motivate other young marketing and broadcast professionals by volunteering as a mentor.
Omar holds Bachelors degrees in Communication and Puerto Rican and Hispanic Caribbean Studies from Rutgers University. He is also a Six Sigma Green Belt.
