I was 33 when I was first thrust into the workforce. With three children to support (e -Erika, k- Kathryn and m-Max) and very little confidence, I was poorly prepared to execute my job search.

What I did have was common sense and an unending thirst for information. I read what ever I could get my hands on, asked advice from nearly everyone I met, and picked myself up every time I stumbled. Lo and behold, I landed my first "real" job with an agency that "taught" people how to look for employment.

Flash forward through more job changes (some by choice, others not) continued learning, my first professional resume writing certification (CPRW- one of the first in Maryland!) and finally in 1999 I went out on my own as an independent resume writer, job search coach and trainer - and behind it all were my three biggest inspirations (ekm!).

Since opening my doors in 1999, I have helped literally thousands of professionals - from new grads and stay-at-home moms to senior executives - smoothly transition to new jobs with renewed confidence and recognition of their own unique talents and offerings.
