I am a Ph.D. student in Information and Computer Science at University of California, Irvine. My track is Software Engineering and currently I am doing research in CSCW, software design, and SCM. My particular research focuses on how to best support developers’ coordination needs in a software development process. I also have personal commitment to always explore and integrate different computer science fields. At this manner I developed my skills in other areas such as software testing, computer networking and database.
Software Design and Testing, Java, C++, .Net, C#, Eclipse Plugin, MySQL, Oracle, PL/SQL, Web Developer, JEE, Spring, EJB 3.0 JPA

- TDE project
Test Development Environment (TDE) is a tool that automatically generates test cases from previously created UML 2.0 models. The tool has been successfully used on several Siemens products to reduce the effort in creating and maintaining integration test suites. Project Manager: Dr. Marlon Vieira.
(Privately Held; Information Technology and Services industry)
March 2007 — July 2008 (1 year 5 months)
- TDE project (described previously)
- Global Studio
Global Studio Project (GSP) was an empirical study of global software development practices that involved observation and analyses of artifacts to judge distributed project effectiveness. This methodology was used to implement a tool that allows the user to draw a UML diagram of a performance model and, from this diagram, get the performance metrics by using an already existing performance simulation package. Project Leader: Dr. Alberto Avritzer.

December 2005 — March 2007 (1 year 4 months)
I was hired to teach courses on contractual basis during two years at the Computer Science Department. I had full responsibility for preparing and delivering lectures, elaborating exams and assigning final grades to students.
- Undergraduate courses taught:
TCC-04.070 – Computer Architecture I
TCC-03.063 – Computer Programming III
TCC-03.060 – Introduction to Computer Science

January 2005 — March 2007 (2 years 3 months)
- IC-VoIP Project
In this project I performed an analysis of several VoIP sources, where the sources are capable of adapting their transmission rates. We proposed an algorithm for the adaptive adjustment of the transmission rate of VoIP sources, based on the voice quality estimated at the receiver. I implemented all the features required for my dissertation over a period of 2 years. I wrote my Master’s dissertation and published 2 papers describing the results of this research.

June 2004 — March 2005 (10 months)
Corporate IT specialized in development of financial solutions. I was involved in the development of Web applications based on J2EE. Where I developed technical proficiencies in MVC, Struts, Servlets, Jsp, JBoss, Oracle, PL/SQL and Eclipse.

- EasyGrid Project
The EasyGrid project developed a framework to automatically generate, system-aware applications capable of executing in the dynamic, unstable, and distributed environment offered by computational grids. In this project I implemented 2 static and 3 dynamic scheduling algorithms. I wrote my Bachelor’s dissertation and published 3 papers on the results of this research.
