The student employment in this firm was concluded with the completion of my studies after which I was offered one and a half month's full time project employment within three main working areas, one being system development of the firm's digital board concept by programming in Delphi. Secondly, in connection with a firm strategy workshop I was asked to organise a lecture for the management board on the use of the Business Model Canvas as a tool for business strategy design and planning. Thirdly, I carried through a proof-of-concept test of a 3D hand held scanner by programming in Matlab.

The application that I developed has primarily focused on two dimensional images but the work has also given rise to a complementary research project on the creation of 3D objects from images by use of structure-from-motion and multi-view stereo.

  • Master Thesis [Classification of the Anatomy on 3D Scans of Human Heads]

    I introduced a novel method for computing 3D vertex feature descriptors which I combined with randomized decision forests to automatically classify anatomical regions on 3D scans of human heads.

    The academic thesis was done in collaboration with the Danish Blood Donor Study.

    In my bachelor thesis I used sparse principal component analysis to investigate the correlation between:

    ❖ clinically observed parameters such as gait speed, executive motor control, verbal fluency and geriatric depression scale, and
    ❖ changes in the outline of the brain neural fiber bundle corpus callosum, also known as age-related cerebral white matter changes (ARWMC).

    This was a collaboration with the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (DRCMR) at Hvidovre Hospital and the Leukoaraiosis And DISability (LADIS) study.
