I have a huge passion for design, communication and am always enthusiastic to learn more about design. I have experience designing for both web and print design, and am extremely proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software. I believe that I am a flexible designer, and I am able to adapt my thinking to suit any given design brief, having undertaken university, freelance and self-initiated projects, including variety of branding, web design and packaging.
I have just recently graduated (July 2014) from the University of South Wales with a First Class Honours in BA Graphic Communication. I am always enthusiastic to learn more about design, having attended Cheltenham, London and Cardiff design festivals, which informs my knowledge of trends within the design field and inspires me with new ways of approaching a creative challenge. I am also currently undertaking online courses in branding and the future of the web, which are expanding my knowledge further than just the visual aspect of design.

Spent a week within the design and web development team, and gained experience as a front end web developer, working with HTML 5 and CSS 3, coding from scratch. Also touched upon working with jquery script and making the site responsive to mobile and tablet devices. It was really enjoyable to take a site from a design to a fully working and responsive site within a couple of days and I really enjoyed my time within the team environment.
My time within the design team also outlined the constraints that designing for a range of publications have. It was possibly the first time that I have been limited within brand guidelines, which meant that I explored more imagery, colour and illustration that I would have previously. This meant that the covers I created had a clear visual language and consistency throughout the range.

The former Art and Design department of the BBC aimed at teenagers and young adults. My role was mainly involved in the creative aspect of the website and looking at the market research for the interactive section of the webpage. Also involved attending a BBC run event and aiding with the photography activities that were happening.
