Goals

My primary goal is to improve the gaming experience with focus on players audio experience through adaptive music design, SFX, VO and dialogue.
My secondary goal is to discuss the subejct of game audio. I blog regularly on http://nevinsound.com discussing the subjects of future game audio and how we can improve the interactive audio design whether it is compositional and technical issues or simply work processes.

Project: Abronium

Developed weapon and feedback sounds and jingles for the game project Abronium - a sci-fi, fantasy multiplayer party game. Game was developed using XNA and XACT.
Currently working on a new classified title for mobile platforms.

Working as in-house sound designer for interactive game development teams at NDS. Designing sound effects and jingles to interactive TV games based on IP’s from Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Disney. Some of the clients include: Sky UK, Sky IT, DirecTV US and Foxtel AU.
Beside my work as sound designer I am also experienced in software/hardware testing procedures and methods for game and software projects. Development of audio, UI and focus group test procedures. Set up of test sessions and interviews of focus groups followed by evaluations to improve future test sessions.

Lead Sound Designer for the game development project HOPE with an online pipeline. Project was discontinued.

Sound and music design for educational games developed for the Pixeline-series. The educational subjects were human anatomy, geography and animal kingdom. Designed an introduction to a game project for children in the age group of 6-10 years with ideas to how the main subject can be communicated through game play.

Sound design for game project “Escape from Paradise City” – an action, RTS and RPG from a 3rd-person perspective developed for Windows platform. Responsibilities included: sound design for visual effects in collaboration with lead artist and visual effects programmer, editing of externally processed voice-over samples, implementing and balancing sound levels in game using FMOD Designer.
