As Chief Operating Officer of Akimbo, Neil introduced his vision for the transformation of Internet-delivered television. Within months, he spearheaded a new SaaS business model, enabling content providers to monetize their video assets on the web. He then reorganized team members, secured Akimbo’s first customers, and proved viability for the new business, which resulted in additional funding from its board of directors.

A pioneer in video on demand, Neil joined Akimbo after 3 years as President of On Demand Media Group, a licensing, programming, marketing, and operational consultancy connecting content owners with the most technically advanced distribution platforms around the world. Previously, he ran entertainment programming for both DIVA and TVN Entertainment. In addition to negotiating deals with all major Hollywood studios, cable networks and independents, Neil created and launched the first subscription video-on-demand packages available in the U.S. He also helped to implement the nation’s first premium on-demand services, HBO and Showtime on Demand.

Prior to entering the new media sector, Neil was VP of Witt-Thomas Films, overseeing all production activities. He started his career at Warner Bros., where he served as Director of Worldwide Acquisitions. In addition to his business experience, Neil has also brings a wealth of experience to the creative process, having served as a writer and producer of film and television properties for studios and networks. Neil is a frequent guest speaker at industry events and is often quoted in the entertainment and media industry trades as an expert on broadband/internet delivered video and the future of television.
