Tenacious & Passionate Graduate Seeking Entry-Level PR Position
Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area
I am a recent graduate from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications, specializing in Public Relations. I am currently pursuing a career in public relations or marketing communications that will challenge my abilities and provide me with an atmosphere to further bolster my skills as a communicator.
During my college education, I transitioned from a young college student to a forward-thinking professional. I was selected to be a member of the USF Bateman team, which participates in the prestigious National Bateman Competition--a case study competition hosted by PRSSA. This experience provided me with the rare opporunity to enter the post-college working world with the real-life ability of developing a communications campaign from the ground up.
I also have two internships under my belt that gave me the chance to flourish as a public relations specialist. My first internship was with a non-profit museum in Tampa which allowed me to work on projects across the marketing spectrum. My second internship was with the City of Tampa Mayor's Office public affairs division. This internship forced me to strengthen my writing and editing skills, as well as my project and time management skills.
My PR toolkit also includes:
- Budget management
- Media relations
- Social Media
- Thorough understanding of AP style
- Digital Design
- Public Speaking
Strategy, Organization, Critical-thinking, Writing, Editing, Social Media, Research.
