Lead Application Designer at TradeDoubler
United Kingdom
I've been involved with various aspects of software development for over 8 years, from web design and development in PHP, to Windows applications in C#, and data warehousing platforms in Java.
I have also had almost 8 years of experience in the search industry. From managing accounts to developing software to help manage accounts.
I've spent the majority of my career at the forefront of whatever I'm doing. Pushing the boundaries, finding back doors, and leading the charge on new ideas. I have worked in a wide variety of environments, from bedrooms to warehouses, and corporate offices. I've been involved with start-ups, seen companies built and sold, and even ran my own business, and I have finally arrived at the conclusion that I am absolutely geared towards life in a young business.

I joined the company to establish an eCommerce division to add to an already successful, but very localised, bicycle retail business.
Initially effort was focused on building a logistical framework to support mail order and online sales. I built a basic stock control system and linked that with a basic ePOS system. The ePOS was written in a combination of PHP and C#.
Once I had the foundations in order I set about creating the website.
I was responsible for supporting every aspect of the operation; from SEO, PPC, site partnerships, sales inquiries, and customer support.
During my time there I built from scratch a very successful online division of the company.

One of the UK's first ISP's. Taken on as a junior developer I soon developed an absolute passion for what we were doing. I built one of the first ever PHP webmail applications as well as had a great deal of exposure to the newly born Pay Per Click industry with goto.com.
