Nate Kiser’s Summary
While my background is traditionally in commercial real estate and retail development, we are venturing into a number of other more nontraditional venues right now. This is primarily driven by fundamental market changes, but in the past year we have ventured into the energy markets, including fuel distribution and coal assets along with natural gas and mining. Also, with the current changes in the capital climate, we have delved into the funding markets, to include the procurement of foreign investment funds and joint ventures, as well as the leveraging of nontraditional domestic funding. In this manner, we have created alternate markets for our more traditional projects to continue when conventional banking would not sustain the deal.
