  • Empire of Words

    As part of the computer science ITE master program at Brandeis, and in collaboration with five other members, we launched a new venture – Lexicosm. Lexicosm strives to bring into the marketplace our product, "Empire of Words". Empire of Words combines gaming technologies with various teaching methodologies to help students increase their SAT verbal scores. This project is currently being considered for funding by one Boston based Angel Investor. We use agile methodology to develop the rapid prototype and estimate the schedule of the project.

  • YayWiki - Parallel Processing over Large Datasets

    • October 2012 to December 2012

    Parallel Processing over Large Datasets using Hadoop and Map Reduce with Java. Create an inverted index of Wikipedia articles on their word occurrences, with stop word and scrub word elimination and document position mapping. A query program then takes a search query of words in conjunctive normal form and returns a list of Wikipedia pages based on the query

    Using NLTK(Natural Language Processing Toolkit) on Python worked on Sentence partitioning with pivot point marking, Parsing as chunking with grammar definition algorithms, Lexical similarity determination on WordNet senses using hypernym/hyponym hierarchy and Classifier based movie genre identification.
