Mike is responsible for planning and executing a broad spectrum of capital and maintenance contracting, procurement and material management services for heavy industrial, manufacturing and process plant projects. Mike successfully manages contracting and procurement for projects with Total Installed Costs (TIC) values to $15 Billion USD. Mike’s annual CAPEX responsibilities ranges from $700 Million to $1.2 Billion.

Mike is also an advisor on the Bakken, Marcellus, Permian & Utica Shale Oil & Gas Plays and Wet Gas "Cracker" Activity. Mike evaluates and counsels on matters of regional economic, legal and political trends, planned and active upstream, midstream & upstream projects, supervisory and craft labor availability and wage rates, labor relations, material costs and lead times, contractor sourcing and prequalification, and equipment and module logistics and transportation. Mike plays a key role in shale gas & oil project strategic planning.

Mike's team is focused with a strong commitment to using a value added/low cost execution approach to completing projects and departmental functions. Mike is frequently recognized by executive management for his ability to consistently deliver contracting and procurement cost savings and reductions in supplier manufacturing lead times.

Mike is the author of several papers on off-shore procurement, construction market analysis, negotiations, subcontracting, bonding, and insurance.
