Movable Type Consultant
Romania
Most people would think about me as "Mihai, the movable type guy!" and judging by the amount of time I've invested on working with this publishing technology they're definitely right.
I've discovered movable type while back in December 2002 and for some reason I've felt that as a web developer I truly like it, thought it was so basic comparing to where the technology arrived now.
What I've enjoyed about it was the CMS module which allowed me to easily maintain Web site projects by working with templates, rather than doing manual or semi-automatic work using various tools.
At that time this was the most efficient solution I've discovered.
You should know that my main formation is web developer, I do the architecture information, design, I code the project in XHTML/CSS table format, I'm implementing it using movable type (sometimes even other CMS solutions), I'm working on search engine optimization (SEO), and I'm finally investing some time on making it known to the search engines (SEM).
What distinguishes me from other competitors is that I'm always taking care to keep up with the technology and offer top quality services at very affordable prices.
What I care the most with each and every project is to make sure the client is doing a good investment and the project is going to generate a very good ROI (return on investment).
For these reasons I've been able to establish an excellent network of customers, end users or other companies interested to subcontract work to me.
I would close saying that among the things that are motivating me on this web development business is the feedback I'm receiving from my happy customers.
The fact that I've been able to also build personal connections is a proof of a serious character, trustworthy, oriented to the customer satisfaction.

December 2002 — Present (7 years 1 month)
At the end of 2002, while working for an important new media company from Rome, Italy and following my CEO advice I've decided to create a personal company and I've called it “PRO IT Service S.R.L.”.
Nevertheless my involvement on the company from Rome was growing from year to year, I've never forgot about my own company project so at the end of 2005 I've decided it's time to put an end to working as an employee (I was “Technical Director”) and focus on developing PRO IT Service.
This was a difficult decision as in over 4.5 years of working for the new media company I've established a wonderful human relationship with the team, with the CEO, his dears and friends.
You would laugh when I'll tell you that nevertheless I've worked on web development until 2006 I didn't have the time to build a web site for my own business. Well, I've had a few person projects about myself when I was a teenager, but after I've started to work I just didn't have the time to dedicate to my own facility. It's like a shoemaker without shoes…
Soon after leaving Italy, around mid 2006 I've said its time to invest on my company.
I've started with developing my company web site, putting in some information about the type of work I do and went fishing for customers.
People know to appreciate high quality work and attention to details so I've been able to rapidly grow this business. I've been busy enough to again not have time to invest on other projects on mine, but I'm proud to have server so many customers that returned back to thank me, send season wishes or ask “how do I do”.
You won't like to know what I'm doing at PRO IT Service, as the list would get so long.
I'll just summarize saying that I do movable type consulting (mt/php/mysql/perl), website layout coding (xhtml/css), search engine optimization, search engine marketing, I do handle the communication and when I'm having a bit of free time I'm doing my best to help others solve their problems.

January 2001 — November 2005 (4 years 11 months)
Everything started way back in july 2001 when I've decided to look for work abroad. I was 19 years old.
Luigi Canali De Rossi aka Robin Good took me as an internship at that time. For the trust and investment he made on me at that age, I've remained grateful to him
Over time I've passed different levels from internship to webmaster, web developer, FAO (UN) trainer and technical director
It was an excellent experience working shoulder to shoulder with Robin and the new strategy we've started rogether in 2003 (just the two of us) brought great results
Robin is currently owning a network of excellent performing Web sites that generate an always increasing, very high revenue every month
While I had to leave this wonderful boat to focus more on my own company, I am still attached to this man and will always stop by for a coffee at his office in Rome, at his house with his wife Rossana or his two beautiful kids, in the Azores or wherever he'll be

When I've started to work for Terra Dent S.R.L., part of Dental Supply International 2000 (http://www.dsi.ro/) I was just 19 years old and was attending the University in Bucharest
I was very glad to manage the IT department of this nice company which is now a reference point on the Dental Medical Equipments industry here in Romania
While I've enjoyed very much working at Terra Dent and I've established a great relationship with the entire staff, I've realized that I was now growing up.
For this reason I've decided to join a more IT focuses abroad and work as a programmer, job for which I was very well qualified
However, I've kept a very good relationship with Terra Dent and I've later developed their Company Web site at the beginning of 2006
