Michelle Land’s Summary
Upon graduating from Pace Law School ('02) with an environmental law specialization, I partnered with John Cronin to launch the Pace Academy for the Environment (now Pace Academy for Applied Environmental Studies). I was appointed as director of the Pace Academy in 2009. Among our first priorities was to facilitate the creation of a collaborative higher education network throughout the Hudson Valley watershed - from that idea the Environmental Consortium of Hudson Valley Colleges & Universities was hatched, which I now direct. The Consortium is currently 51 institutions strong and growing. We work together on interdisciplinary field studies, student research, curriculum collaboration, faculty development, and campus greening.
I also teach environmental law and policy at Pace University, NYU, and formerly SUNY Purchase College.
