Michael McIntyre began successful career in the insurance industry in 1983, which spanned more than 27 years. His insurance career included the creation of three successful insurance agencies which provided major medical insurance, life insurance and annuities. Over his tenure in the insurance industry, McIntyre was responsible for recruiting and training over 20,000 insurance agents in 45 states and generating over 3 billion dollars in premium .McIntyre sold his insurance business in 2007. In 2008 McIntyre saw the increase in health care cost and the burdens it was placing on the average working American family; With the need for affordable health care he created Benefits America and 247MedPlan , both are non-insurance companies designed for individuals, families and small businesses to receive medical benefits and services at a very affordable price .

McIntyre sought strategic relationships with prominent organizations in the discount medical and the telemedicine space . Along with these strategic partners they have combined generated more than 18 million members nationwide. These relationships has continued to evolve over the years to include strategic marketing affiliations as well as insurance consulting and motivational speaking.

McIntyre has been a pioneer in the marketing of these benefits to the public. He believes that everyone should be able to afford the convenience and excellent service of concierge medical benefits such as having a doctor on call 24/7. In the past this was only available to the wealthy 1%. Now with the creation of Benefits America /247MedPlan ,McIntyre has made a very accessible on ramp for the 99% to enjoy these unique benefits at a very affordable price.
