Design and construct web pages / sites incorporating graphic user interface (GUI) features and other techniques. Produce graphic sketches, designs, and copy layouts for online content. Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts. Maintain and provide ongoing design of the website, promos and banners, and seasonal academic content based on institutional branding, paid vendor campaign designs, and developed ideas.
Assist in development, implementation and maintenance of one of Seton Hall's mission-critical content management systems. Design and maintain visual interface templates and partial interaction of web-based applications within multiple content management systems. Design and evaluate visual human interfaces utilizing user-centered design principles. Implement designs. Work and train with development team to design enhanced user experiences through product design. Ensure user experience is formulated to achieve the goals of the University. Monitor web traffic and provide on-demand assistance to systems management.
Manage web content and projects related to the site. Passively edit and proofread new content. Ensure that documents meet established content standards and work with clients and developers to assess any technical challenges in displaying the content. Consistently improve the effectiveness of the Seton Hall web presence: Coordinate and negotiate with the marketing and IT groups and vendors. Develop new and assist with existing web advertising initiatives. Interact with and utilize detailed analytics in strategic design plans. Assist in project management. Lead and direct the work of others. Effectively contribute to the advancement of the overall quality of strategic thinking and design applied technology.
