Mel is an author, master facilitator, coach, and program developer specializing in leadership development, personality diversity, and experiential training design. An Executive Partner and the Creative Director of The Effectiveness Group, Mel is a dynamic speaker and a highly creative instructional designer, having developed numerous “theme–based” training programs and simulations in leadership, engagement, diversity, and team building.
Deeply committed to education, Mel had over 15 years of experience as a teacher and college instructor before turning his talents to adult learning. He obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and conducted research on the multiple perceptions of the importance of education. Later he became a certified Rhythm Circle Facilitator and a Master Trainer in the Five Factor Model of personality. Today Mel is highly experienced in personality–based coaching and facilitates personality diversity training programs throughout the United States, in Europe, and in most Latin American countries.
Along with his partner Cristina, Mel has written several published articles: most recently The Ten M’s of Engagement in the January 2008 T & D magazine. Mel is currently writing a book on employee engagement.
