Researched an efficient approach for the implementation of adaptive digital predistorters to improve linearity performance of high power amplifiers in Software-Defined-Radio (SDR) transmitters. To this end, a novel method was proposed based on modeling the inverse characteristics of the power amplifier in sub-ranges of power. Related topics include nonlinear system theory, black-box modeling, nonlinear signal processing, adaptive digital filtering and digital modulation/demodulation and multiplexing techniques.

Designed and developed an automated test bench using the instrumentation toolbox of Matlab
(LeCroy Wave Master 8600 digital oscilloscope, Rhode & Schwartz SMU 200A vector signal generator and Agilent E4440A PSA Series Spectrum Analyzer). The aim was to evaluate and compare experimentally the performance of the proposed and existing predistortion methods, in the context where power amplifiers exhibit nonlinear memory effects.
