Conceiving and implementing communication strategies for organisations as diverse as the European Commission and start-ups. I've focused on the internet since 1995, but I'm not a developer. I do know, however, how to harness web technologies to real needs, and how to interface between the client and the developers, designers and writers.
My first website - for the EUREKA pan-European R&D organisation - could, in 1995, do what the Commission's equivalent CORDIS server still can't do today. At DG INFSO, the first edition of the 'Event in a Box' system (2002) had social networking tools before we knew that's what they were called, while the Newsroom was the first EC system to syndicate RSS (2003). More recently I set up Blogactiv.eu, a blogging platform focused on discussing EU policy and bringing the blogosphere to Brussels.
Along the way I've picked up significant experience in managing multiple communication project teams and departments simultaneously, structuring organisations, and implementing internal knowledge management solutions.
