I've written dozen of cover stories for Insight; what set this one apart was that I had to do it on deadline. A process that usually takes three weeks was compressed to three days. It was definitely a writing challenge, but turned out great.
- Insight on Business
- February 1, 2013
For Insight on Business, I wrote an in-depth cover story looking at what businesses of all sizes need to know about the Affordable Care Act. I focused in on ThedaCare since it not only a large regional healthcare provider and is affected by many of the new rules and regulations (including a loss in Medicare funding), it is also the New North's largest employer and has to make decisions on how to cover its own employees. I also talked with insurance companies, small businesses and larger businesses about their plans as they await for the ACA to be fully implemented in January 2014.
- Insight on Manufacturing
