What computing can be, the XO laptop was just the first step. Rapid idea-to-design-to-production of next generation computing devices and display components. Specialities include:
* Extreme low-cost
* Extreme low-power
* Mass producible new display technologies
* Outdoor use, sunlight readability and robustness
Why can't you buy a laptop in a bubble pack at a drug store? Calculators used to be expensive but dropped in price to support this - it's time for personal computers to get there.

MicroDisplay is a maker of components for 40"-60" rear projection televisions. Microdisplay designs and manufactures the image making component. This component is called a microdisplay or a panel. We specialize in a type of technology called LCOS (liquid crystal on silicon). MicroDisplay makes a single-panel (rather than a separate panel for red, green and blue channels) that offers substantial cost-down advantages for high-definition big screen tvs.
