Martin Lindsey - www.martyblogs.com’s Summary

www.martyblogs.com

I am a Mechanical Engineer by training and I am transitioning to computer science focusing on animation. I have taken a few of the traditional core courses in computer science but I'm a more artistic sort than traditional code junkie.

Some of my software engineering course work includes
Java I Programming, Java II Data Structures, Discrete Math and Algorithms, C++, Digital Logic Circuits, Artificial Intelligence and Principles of Programming Languages so although I understand the fundamentals of classic computer science my heart lies in the more artistic and creative realm.

As such my resume will begin to include creative packages such as MAYA and other standard animation and graphics applications.

I am also seeking fellowship and other sources of funding for my masters degree program. That includes, part time work, internships and co-op assignments. As well I am an accomplished singer and public speaker and I am very interested in doing voice work for commercials and cartoon voice overs.

To that end I would like to speak with owners, employers, human resources managers of animation, design and graphic design firms in Chicago for part time work and summer internships while at DePaul University. Please feel free to contact me via the phone number or email address above.

I start DePaul's College of Computing and Digital Media masters program to specialize in animation, cinematography and the like in September of 2009.

My ultimate objective is to leverage eleven years of design engineering, manufacturing engineering and production experience to maximize my creative energies as I merge my technical and artistic inspirations.
