Consultant Business Change & Communications

(Educational Institution; Higher Education industry)
October 2009 — Present (4 months)
PhD studies at London South Bank University/ Business, Computing & Information Management faculty. Subject: “Modelling and quantifying the factors which have impact on the process of organisational change -due to IT/ software implementation, -improvement, -innovation or –mergers.
It is my assumption that IT projects within commercial organisations endure a very high risk of failure, since the approach of these projects is basically technocratic and single-disciplinary. Organisational and/or operational change and -inherently- the human factor of suchlike projects are seldom scaled equivalently to project-, business-, and/or technical issues in project management. In my dissertation I aim to map, quantify and model specifically these factors, in order to come to a holistic, multi-disciplinary, well-balanced and thus more efficient approach towards handling IT projects in relation to changing organisations and vice versa.

A better world starts with yourself!
Every human being is entitled to live its life in an endurable habitat and to have at its disposal the primary necessities of life: food, water, shelter, hygiene, medication and education. Durable development and maintenance of these living conditions in set back areas are besides a local resonsibility also an international responsibility.
That is why we recently have founded the Simba Mukaka Foundation. All board members have committed to contribute to the foundation on voluntary basis next to their current full time jobs.
We prefer to contribute to regional development with projects based on local structural solutions (such as transfer of knowledge), but it is optional -if required by specific circumstances- to start up also projects providing direct aid by means of commodities or on-site assistance.
