I publish MendoCoastCurrent tracking renewable energy development around the world and especially wave energy on the Mendocino coast.
I also steward Mendocino Energy, a renewable energy incubator and campus on the Mendocino coast exploring green technologies in wind, wave, solar, green-ag, bioremediation and coastal energy.
And SWEEP, Small Wind Environmental Energy Project now establishing a small wind research and development center on the Mendocino coast. For more info, go to YouNoodle.com.
My background has been at tech start-ups and young companies, creating revenue, marketing, developing brand and sales research. I've evangelized and sold products, publications, catalogs/sales channels and services that offer cutting-edge technologies and solutions.
As I transition from what used to be 'high tech' to 'green tech,' I appreciate that technology development has interesting opportunities/challenges. Now add environmental issues, goals and guidelines. My career interest is now wholly-focused on participating in creating safe renewable energy technologies.
In 2004 I moved from Silicon Valley to the Mendocino coast of California. Then in February 2007, PG&E applied for a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Preliminary Permit for wave energy development in Mendocino.
In early May 2009, PG&E announced it's intention to cancel the wave energy pilot Mendocino WaveConnect due to engineering issues related to the Noyo Harbor.
MendoCoastCurrent hopes PG&E may reconsider/restructure their decision and wish to participate in founding Mendocino Energy, especially in ocean energy research with a launch at the coastal Mill Site. To learn more about Mendocino Energy, go here: http://tiny.cc/uLHE7
As Publisher of MendoCoastCurrent, tracking renewable energy developments since September 2007, my top interest is in generating electricity and renewable energies in harmony with our environment.
