As the principal of Business Performance Consultants, Larry E. Miller provides management consulting and executive coaching for public and private organizations wishing to strategically plan their enterprises, improve performance or effect change.
During Mr. Miller’s 35-year business career, he has served in Senior Executive positions providing corporate leadership, group and division strategic planning, executive coaching, turnaround, oversight, and mergers and acquisitions. Miller has had P&L responsibility as Chairman, CEO, and President for the majority of his career, and brings this business world reality to the consulting environment.
Miller served as Division and Group President during his 19-year tenure at the Whittaker Corporation, a multi-industry corporation with interests in Life Sciences, Technology, Marine, Chemicals, Aerospace, Automotive and Textiles. In his role at Whittaker he provided guidance to Division Presidents on business planning, corporate reporting, and performance criteria. Miller also acted as Corporate Ambassador to the foreign acquisitions and facilitated the managerial cultural interface with the parent corporation.
He served as Group Executive and Partner Company CEO for Intermark, Inc. a multi-industry holding and operating company with business interests in Aerospace, Graphics, Commercial Construction Materials, and Consumer Products. Miller also led the mergers and acquisitions function and provided corporate oversight for 18 of the operating corporations in conjunction with the Chairman. He also conducted a turnaround of a troubled Subsidiary, earning him the President of the Year Award by Price Waterhouse.
Miller provided management consulting services to Metabolife International, Inc. a San Diego based nutritional supplements company, and became President and COO. During Miller’s tenure, the company grew from start up sales volume to $350 million in sales and above industry average profitability.
